Our first "batch" consisted of two different fragrances: Spring Rain and a soapy
(can't remember the fragrance name) type scent. We managed to mix a purple color for
the spring rain and a light blue for the soapy scent. We used "bail jars" to pour, and
couldn't wait to show them to our friends and family.
Well, looking-back on our first attempt, I remember being seriously confused with
the directions in the kit we purchased. It looked like a copy of a copy of a copy,
and they used terms that I'd never heard of before. But somehow we managed to fake
our way through it and were still really happy with the results.
Making a candle is such a creative endeavor. We like to say "there are no bad candles."
Kind of like kids- no bad kids, just questionable parents... :)
So anyway, after we had a chance to get our production systems down-pat, we decided to
put together a soy candle-making kit that would make it painless and fun to learn to
make candles. We decided to build our kit around providing everything you need while
including some really good instructions. We also filmed a video that gives you more
information (here’s the link to the video.)
Not only will our kit show you how to make soy candles, but it also includes
6 apothecary or 6 tin containers. If you make the 6 apothecary jars, for
example, it adds-up to almost a $60 value. So while learning to make the
candles, you can basically make $60 worth of candles for only $49.95 (kit
